Crimens' Almond Pound Cake

Crimens' Almond Pound Cake

1 box Duncan Hines Butter Recipe Golden cake mix
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup sugar
4 large eggs
vanilla extract (I used about 2 teaspoons)
almond extract (1 to 2 tablespoons)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all ingredients; mix well. Pour batter into a greased Bundt pan. Bake for about 45 minutes, or until a tester comes out clean. My cake took a bit over 50 minutes. Cook on a rack for 10 minutes then invert to rack to finish cooling.

Note: I WISH everyone could have watched Miss Crimens make this cake. She just started dumping and mixing in no particular order and every cake she made turned out perfect and DELICIOUS. In fact one time, she poured the extracts into the bowl first! The only things she actually measured were the water, oil and eggs. She poured large amounts of extracts into the bowl...looked at the batter...grabbed the sugar canister and dumped more suger...not one thing measured. Anyway, I DID measure everything BUT the extracts.
